WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC
Experience essential. This is a Full time role starting as soon as possible (Apr 24 on)
Key responsibilities:
- Servicing – both routine Interim and complex Full services. Also advising where additional work is required eg. technical advisories, product updates and routine wear and tear.
- Preparation of New motorcycles – preparing bikes for sale and showroom, both standard pre-delivery inspections and detailed customer specifications.
- Preparation of Used motorcycles – working with our Sales team to valet, recondition and prepare our Used stock for sale (within the target financial limitations)
- Technical/electrical installations such as Trackers, Alarms and software upgrades
- Repairs – our workshop offers a broad range of maintenance work to which this position may contribute eg. Insurance repairs, Tyre changing, Suspension rebuilds, Engine maintenance etc
- Technical troubleshooting – capability to systematically work a problem through to its cause. Knowing when to seek appropriate advice, and sharing the knowledge gained with colleagues.
- Impeccable customer communication – ensuring that customers expectations are realistic and informed throughout a job ie. timeframe, likely costs, or unexpected problems encountered.
Successful candidates will:
- Have significant work experience within a similar motorcycle workshop (at least 5 years)
- Have real experience of maintaining modern motorcycle brands.
- Be organised and systematic in their work
- Be computer literate. Previous exposure to computerised diagnostic tools is assumed.
- Be a motorcycle rider with a full licence.
Training: On the job supplemented with Franchise/Online training courses.
Hours: 41.5 per week (our shop opening hours).
Salary: Competitive meaning Candidate specific depending on experience
